At Silentium Defence, we’re advancing passive radar and sensing technologies that protect what matters most. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Commercial Support Officer to strengthen how we manage contracts and supplier relationships across the business. This is a hands-on, business-critical role where you’ll sit at the centre of commercial operations supporting the delivery of projects, products, and services through effective contract management practices.

About the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager and working closely with internal stakeholders to support the end-to-end management of commercial activities, ensuring contracts and supplier agreements are executed efficiently with a strong focus on value and risk management. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to complex commercial environments, including defence and regulated industries, while building practical capability across contract management and stakeholder engagement. We are open to structuring this role as either full-time or part-time to suit the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end commercial contract management activities including sourcing, tendering, and administration
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing simple to low-complex contracts (such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), stakeholder contractual terms and Purchase Orders) with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate and well-structured commercial documentation and reporting
  • Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and KPIs
  • Support contract risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support commercial outcomes
  • Ensure all commercial activities align with relevant policies, standards, and regulatory requirements

About you:

You are organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a structured environment. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and are motivated to build your capability in commercial and contract management.

You will bring:

  • Experience in administration, contracts, or commercial support
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow

You may have:

  • Exposure to defence, government, or regulated industries
  • Understanding of the contract management lifecycle
  • Relevant qualification in Business, Law, Finance, or a related field
