Assistant Security & Facilities Officer IT & Security

We are looking for an Assistant Security & Facilities Officer to join our team in Gepps Cross, South Australia. This permanent, full-time role will act as the 2IC to our Security & Facilities Officer, focused on supporting the wider organisation and ensuring security remains at the forefront of what we do. In this role, you will be the go-to person for the full remit of security and facilities requirements.   

What you will do: 

You will be exposed to every element of the four pillars of security; governance, physical, personnel, and cyber. The key priority is to ensure that the people in our business have what they need to operate securely at all times, you are the driver. This will look like: 

• Supporting daily queries or requirements from the workforce 
• Promoting security awareness and delivering training campaigns 
• Coordinating employee security onboard and offboarding processes 
• Management of security clearances and the security register 
• Interpreting compliance standards and turning them into tangible actions 
• Maintaining policies, plans and procedures to ensure compliance with the relevant standard 
• Undertaking security risk assessments 
• Ensuring our facilities are meeting security requirements 

About you: 

You may have a defence or protective security background and are looking for your next career move while still working in a high intensity, security focused environment. You may have a passion for cyber-security and a desire to apply your skillset in the defence industry. Whatever your motivation, you will be eager to learn, and excited about the opportunity to be challenged.  

You will have next level attention to detail and enjoy working with others. Ideally, you will have an existing AGSVA Baseline clearance or above, or at least the ability to obtain one.
